On your next nature walk or trip to the park, take time to collect some twigs for this activity. A picture can last a lifetime in a frame your kids can make at home! Materials Needed: Step One:  Gather 12 long twigs, an inch longer than the length of the picture you will frame. The straighter the stick is, the easier it will be to work with. Step Two: Remove any leaves or branches. Step Three: To frame a 4x6 picture, break 6 of the sticks to a 7-inch length. Step Four: Break the other sticks into 6-to 5-inch lengths. Step Five: Arrange the sticks to form your picture frame, placing longer sticks horizontally, and shorter ones vertically. Glue the sticks in place with the glue gun. Step Six: Wrap a strand of twine around the four corners of your frame. Glue ends in place on the back of the frame. Step Seven: If needed, trim your photo to fit your picture frame. Glue the photo to back of frame. Step Eight: Cut and glue a 5-inch piece of twine to the two top corners on the back of the frame for hanging.
