Sleeper in an animal print Socks to match sleeper White poster board Colored pencils Red ribbon Safety pin Plastic headband (blend to hair color) Gloves (optional) Face makeup (optional)

Instructions: Buy a sleeper in an animal print and socks to cover your child’s shoes. Fold the poster board in half and draw a heart design to look like the Ty label. Cut out the heart, leaving the left edge uncut, so it will open like a card. Color the design with the colored pencil (some markers will run if it rains). Open the heart, and write a poem about the animal on the inside. Punch a hole in the left corner, add a short ribbon, and pin it to the collar of the sleeper. Using folded poster board, cut out the ears (triangles for cats, rounded semi-circles for others). Put the headband on your child’s head, and position the ears around the headband. Remove the headband, then glue or staple the ears on. More Costume Ideas
