More: A Parent’s Guide To VSCO

When they ask for money to go to the mall

Between social outings, vacations with friends, allowances and more, having a teen can be EXPENSIVE.

When they don’t tell you they’re eating dinner at a friends house

And of course, they ALWAYS let you know they’re having dinner with a friend after you’ve prepared dinner for the whole family.

When they ask for you to do another task and you’re already busy

Like they need something made for a bake sale the next day, or to be in school early the next day and tell you at the last possible minute.

When they only want to hang out with their friends, not mom and dad

It’s fine, didn’t want to spend time with you anyway! Wait, yes I did…

When they ask to stay out past curfew, AGAIN!

That’s gonna be a hard no from me!

When you try to keep up with them and their friends

They keep you young, but not always informed on what’s happening!

When you ask them to do chores, and they only do it when the other parent asks

Sigh! Not like you asked them to do the chores multiple times already, and of course, they only do it when someone else asks.

When they don’t tell you where they went

Once they’re able to get around on their own and think they can just go anywhere they want!

Teaching them how to drive

  Enough said!

But at the end of the day, it’s all worth it

Ultimately, all you want is what’s best for them, no matter what they put you through every day! Parenting a teen can be challenging.
